The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2017, is a dual-campus, independent day school located in a bedroom community in the suburbs north of Atlanta. Widely recognized as the largest Reform Jewish day school in the United States, the institution offers an innovative general academic curriculum and enhanced Judaic studies. For most of its first two and a half decades, The Davis Academy employed the use of the gymnasium located on its Middle School campus for its performing arts productions, such as its theatrical and musical performances.
Having previously provided master planning and comprehensive design services for all prior construction on the both the Lower School and Middle School campuses, Warren Epstein & Associates planned and designed this Phase III addition, which included a new Performing Arts Auditorium with seating for 600 and applicable support spaces, an Auditorium Atrium, a Chapel, a Kitchen & Cafeteria and four technology classrooms, with all spaces designed within the footprint envisioned when Master Planning for the campus began nearly two decades prior. The addition’s exterior finishes adhere seamlessly into the fabric of the existing facility, with iconic artistic reliefs which identify the Auditorium as a performing arts venue.
