Designed to serve generations of learners, Canyon View High School fosters academic and curricular exploration by expanding the definition of a “place-based” high school. Blurring the lines between age and abilities, the cohort of 1,800 9th-12th graders intermingle amidst a flexible 237,120 SF facility. Guided by the heavy involvement of local businesses, government officials, parents, students, and community members, the school was built through a journey of collaboration. In total, over 480 of the project’s stakeholders participated in 6 community meetings to form guiding principles that would be meaningful for all who enter the doors of Canyon View High School.
