Each day students are welcomed with open spaces, rooted to their connection to each other and the world beyond, all awaiting students’ ideas and energy.

Structured around the concept of neighborhoods, each unit has a common meeting / studying / learning area (commons) that anchors the learning group.

As students and faculty move from neighborhood to neighborhood, they traverse a metaphorical bridge at the ‘in-between’.

Each learning studio exists as a single entity, however with vertical folding walls and a simple push of a button, classrooms can quickly be transformed.

Whiteboard walls, untethered technology and reconfigurable furnishings further expand the ability to reconfigure and reimagine the environment on a class by class basis.

The clean connective tissue of the corridor gives clarity to the plan establishing the ‘path’ where all entities interact and flow through.

The Maker Space & Shop fuse technology and analog practices to foster a deeper process of discovery.

Embracing the aesthetics of home, corporate office, co-working and education environments aided in eliminating single-function thinking.

Through creating spaces such as STEM labs, a black box, servery, café and learning stair the design team was able to provide extreme flexibility.

The learning stair and café embrace everything that is present, purposeful and anticipated in the school, whether neat or messy.

The soaring glass of the exterior welcomes morning sunlight, with dynamic view glass that algorithmically tints based on real-time solar energies.
