The Health United Building – a 160,000 sf gateway to Xavier University’s campus - is a “HUB” of health and wellness. The state-of-the-art campus facility includes three main building masses: a four-story comprehensive Campus Recreation Center, a three-story “Hub of the HUB” atrium space, and a four-story academic building that is the home of the health science programs.
The campus recreation wing includes a three-court gymnasium, multi-sport court, 3-lane indoor running track, indoor recreation pool, weight training, exercise, and fitness center, an Exercise Science Lab, Physical Therapy Lab, fitness studios, locker rooms, and showers.
The atrium space connects the recreation wing to the academic wing and serves as a main lobby/gateway. It includes a Wellness Center, the Center for Population Health, a self-service indoor marketplace, Collaboration Space, and Multipurpose Activity rooms for University use. The HUB also contains Health and Counseling Clinics serving the students, faculty, and staff of XU in affiliation with TriHealth.
The academic wing is the home for Xavier’s College of Nursing and five of Xavier’s health-related academic departments. The program includes an Assisted Daily Living lab, an Occupational Therapy lab, nursing simulation labs, private study rooms, a computer lab, and various classrooms including virtual/distance learning spaces.
