Site plan: This 88-acre site is strategically used to provide a comprehensive experience to students and accommodate future facilities that support district operations.
Main entrance to Rock Hill High School. The facade blends a classic Doric order with modern materials.
The classic style is repeated at the arena entrance, fine arts entrance and student entrance.
Arena: 2,400 seats and a state-of-the-art display system with hanging scoreboard and screens at each corner. Students run the AV system, tying into academic and career coursework.
2-story learning commons is filled with flexible furniture and technology, in both the library and dining sides, as well as along the perimeter on the second floor.
Within the learning commons, small enclosed media centers provide break-out space for students. The touch of blue in materials and furniture reflects the Rock Hill brand.
The second floor of the learning commons overlooks dining and the library. A variety of furniture gives students choice in their environment.
Corridor in academic wing: Natural light filters through 90 percent of the building. The open environment, use of interior glazing and glass-panel railings allow light to filter through comfortably.
All learning spaces feature flexible furniture. CTE labs feature drop-down reels. In the art lab, exterior access creates learning opportunities.
Furniture is placed within corridors inviting students to collaborate or socialize. This enhances sense of place, ownership and pride.
TV studio: Emphasis was placed on the highest quality learning environments to give students real-world experience.
The design team helped the district develop a new brand for their second high school. There is a great deal of pride and the brand is reflected in graphics, color and materials.
Interior courtyards create a safe space for students while maximizing light filtration into classroom wings.

Rock Hill High School is a 2-story facility located on an 88-acre site. The school is designed for 2,500 students and is comprehensive, featuring academics, fine arts and athletics, career and technology labs, as well as modern amenities that support collaborative, flexible and personalized learning. The architectural character of Rock Hill High School is classic; columns and pediments make a bold statement and represent the pride and importance the community places on education. Cast stone, brick, metal panel and glass give the facade a modern edge and reflect the progressive interior spaces.

At the core of the campus is a large, open learning commons that incorporates the student union, dining, library and media lab. The 2-story space allows students to move seamlessly from one "purpose" to another while integrating learning, social and individual activities into their experience. Break-out spaces and the variety of furniture reinforce this high level of choice.

Classrooms, labs and career and technology spaces are adjacent to the commons and separated by glass panels that provide views into learning. A similar emphasis on flexibility and choice can be found within academic wings. Administrative offices and teacher planning rooms are dispersed throughout the facility, creating small learning communities for a large student population. The abundance of natural light across the campus greatly improves the learning experience.

There is a great deal of pride in Prosper ISD, and elements that represent the new high school's mascot, brand and high expectations for learning are incorporated in all spaces through color, environmental graphics and selection of materials. These design elements elevate the space for students, educators and community members.

The athletics package includes a 1,000-seat stadium, baseball / softball complex, tennis courts, practice fields, a 2,400-seat competition arena and an indoor practice facility. A 1,000-seat performance hall supports fine arts programs, campus assemblies and community events.
