PROJECT NARRARTIVE
The Faith Lutheran Crusader Business Center was designed to consolidate the offices and support functions of the Faith Lutheran Middle School and High School. Relocating these administrative spaces was essential for freeing up much-needed room for other critical student functions on the existing Campus. The Crusader Business Center’s architectural language compliments and modernizes the existing buildings throughout the Campus, which first opened in 1998 and is continuously growing and expanding.
The sloped, angled entry canopy bisects the main building volumes, drawing visitors into the lobby. As visitors move through the building, subtle cues of the main entry canopy are reflected in material finish variations and in-ceiling volumes, which culminates into a covered outdoor space with seating.
Programmatically, the Crusader Business Center includes offices for the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities, and Advancement. A boardroom, conference room, and additional support spaces are also intentionally placed throughout the building. A plaza on the west side of the building provides a shaded area for the administrative staff, utilizing the surrounding landscaping for privacy screening. The Crusader Business Center creates the optimal space for the school’s administration to flourish while providing a new standard for the Campus’s architectural vernacular.
