After: Connecting students, staff, administration, and visitors with the world outside, the atrium creates a dynamic environment throughout the building’s shared spaces.

The sunny atrium illuminates the large central stair which greets students, staff, and visitors upon arrival. Warm wood tones, sunny yellows and oranges, and energetic blues create an inviting environment.

Under the central stair, students can gather before moving to another room or spend quiet time with an educator.

The blues, oranges, and yellows in the shared spaces zigzag into each classroom’s walls and tile patterns. Nooks in each classroom create space for small groups or quiet time.

Each classroom utilizes the existing building’s large windows to connect students with the outside world.

Calm, soothing interiors with easy access to educational tools encourage student discovery. Natural elements, daylighting, and soft palettes create bright, inviting spaces to support lifelong learning.

The atrium’s use of color, daylight, and healthy building materials promotes happiness, comfort, and pride of place. Designed for young students, it offers a sense of independence as the climb up towards their classrooms.
